BIT ABOUT ME

I grew up in Brisbane, QLD, Australia with my parents and two younger siblings. I recently graduated from Brisbane Girls Grammar School at the end of 2023 and shortly after moved to London for my mum’s work in December of that year. I’ve applied to multiple universities both in central London and small cities like Leeds, to study music and music production.

I began writing songs when I was around 15-years-old. I’m self-taught on guitar but have previous music knowledge from my many years of playing the Flute at a high level. I then picked up classroom music, where I grew as a singer-songwriter - beginning to learn the ropes of producing my music, theory, music history ect.

I have continued to teach myself guitar, regularly challenging my technique with covers, such as Billie Eilish’s ‘Come Out and Play’ and Radiohead's Karma Police’, evident below. I have performed regularly both in school and outside, appearing in front of student audiences, in theatre showcases, and at my local vintage market, learning my way around the equipment and building my stage presence. I am passionate about becoming a better performer and, as a regular concertgoer, pay close attention to the work of artists like Bon Iver, Big Theif, Billie Eilish, Montel Fish, and Radiohead (to name a few). For me, one of the most exciting aspects of my move to the UK is the opportunity it offers to experience more live performances.

QUT finalist - vermilion High

Vermilion High is a student-led record label apart of the Queensland University of Technology, that works with 10 high school artists each year to produce an original album. I worked with their third-year students, which entailed producing and releasing my song purple dandelion and performing in their showcase.

BONES AND ALL

UNRELEASED ORIGINAL SELF-PRODUCTION

Self-written and produced version (with samples), with a compiled edit of the film it was inspired by, Bones and All by Luca Guadagnino.

For my final large senior project, involving the topic: of Music for Film, I analyzed Radiohead's Exit Music (for a film) written for Baz Luhrmann’s Romeo and Juliet (1996).

I then performed a cover of the song acoustically, self-accompanied on the guitar.
